PillSoGood
Privacy policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026
PillSoGood is a network for approved BC community pharmacies to coordinate surplus medication inventory. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
Who this applies to
PillSoGood is for pharmacies and their staff. It is not a patient service, and we do not collect patient information. Access is limited to approved pharmacies and PillSoGood administrators.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Pharmacy verification— your pharmacy's legal name and a photo of your College of Pharmacists of BC licence, used only to verify your membership.
- Pharmacy and listing information — your pharmacy profile, inventory listings (drug, strength, form, package, quantity, expiry), and trade conversations with other pharmacies.
- Activity and audit records — security-sensitive actions and trade-status changes are logged for accountability.
Information we do not collect
- No patient data — we do not collect patient names, Personal Health Numbers (PHNs), birth dates, prescriptions, prescription images, clinical notes, or dispensing records. Do not enter patient information anywhere in PillSoGood.
- No restricted products — narcotics, controlled drugs, targeted substances, and opioid agonist treatment (OAT) medications are prohibited from being listed or discussed on the network.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies: one to keep you signed in (authentication session) and one to remember your timezone preference. Both are first-party and non-tracking.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies, and we do not share your data with third parties for marketing. Because we only use necessary cookies, we do not show a cookie-consent banner.
How we use your information
We use the information above to operate the network (including matching surplus inventory between pharmacies), verify pharmacy membership, provide support, keep the network secure through audit logs, and meet legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. We may disclose information only where required by law or to protect the security of the network.
Retention
We keep account and listing information while your pharmacy is active. Accounts that never complete the claim process are deleted automatically after 30 days. Audit records are retained to support security and accountability.
Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, database access controls (row-level security), and strong password requirements. Access to the network is limited to approved pharmacies and administrators.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is significant, we will communicate it to approved pharmacies. Continued use of the network means you accept the updated policy.
